| Course Description: | Join us for this four-day leadership development experience designed to assist employees serving in administrative support or service roles. Participants will engage in a series of topic-specific learning sessions led by a team of experienced organizational development professionals. Sessions are designed to incorporate a high degree of experiential learning through exercises that expand understanding, skill, and professional competencies. Content is geared toward the practical, real world issues facing employees in higher education, and specifically those working for UVa.
Who Should Attend:
The program is open to any full-time UVa employee serving as an administrative assistant or in a support or service role with a minimum of 12 months service time. And to non-UVa employees on a space available basis.
Requirements for Attendance:
Nomination is not required to attend this program, however all participants must obtain permission from their supervisor to attend. Attendance at all sessions is mandatory in order to graduate from the program and enter into the UVa Exceptional Assistants Network. See below for programs and resources offered to network members.
The Exceptional Assistants Network consists of more than 200 UVa employees who have graduated from the EAN Core Program who attend various programs that continue their ongoing professional development and which foster community and connection with one another.
