Staff, faculty, and students of the University may find it necessary to comply with training requirements contained in laws or policies promulgated by federal or state governments, regulatory agencies, and the University of Virginia. The links below will direct you to online compliance training or take you to other sources of information on how to get the required training.

State & Local Government Conflict of Interests Act

For: Designated officers and employees of U. Va. You will be notified if you are required to complete this training. This online orientation course is required by Virginia state law. Participants must certify completion in hard copy using a downloadable form provided on the web site.

Responsible Computing at U.Va.

For: Students at U.Va. Students must complete the Responsible Computing quiz before their computing accounts are activated.

U.Va. Research Training (incl HIPAA)

For: UVa Researchers - whose work involves biomedical research with living human subjects. This online training is required to insure researchers are educated regarding the protection of human subjects in research. The training also includes specific HIPAA guidance as it applies to research.
